There is a trend of saying “He or she is 50 or 60 years young instead of “50 or 60 years old”. It is either a humorous way of saying that the person is young and energetic or showing that the person is proud of it and the glass is half full. You can be as close to reality as you want by acceptance or as far from it based on your denial.
“Wrinkles should merely indicate where the smiles have been.” ~ Mark Twain.
Living in a youth obsessed culture where people like to hide their realities makes me wonder how far we are from the truth of life. Living in delusion is a distorted version of reality for nothing keeps you away from your own reality than being unaware of it.
So it is not a matter of how old or young you are, it should be a matter of how AWARE you are. You have the right to realize who you are or what your years on this planet have made you realize. By focusing on your experience in years you understand the truth of this life. Aging is a natural process and there is no better way of living on this Earth than accepting what has been offered by nature. What nature wants us to learn is that the truth is more beautiful, where experiences matter more than an aging effect.
There will come a time of awareness when people will find it easy to say how experienced you are in life instead of how old or young. For your experiences in life should only make you more aware of the life you are meant to live and accept your presence. Every year should impart something valuable that you can transfer to those who are less experienced. You will be more susceptible to life’s process when you are more aware of your own experiences. You learn to cherish life by its experiences for every one those have a story of their own.
